What's public and what's private

Exactly what others can see, before and after you publish.

Private by default

New projects, their chats and their code are private to your account until you publish.

When you publish

Anyone can see:

  • the project's name, description, snapshot and publish date
  • your username, display name and avatar
  • the live, runnable project
  • its code (people can open it and remix a copy)
  • likes and comments

Your chat history and your other projects stay private.

Unpublishing

Unpublishing removes the project from Spotlight and its page immediately. Copies that others remixed while it was public belong to them.

See also the privacy policy.
