Docs / Getting started

Your first project

Sign in, describe an idea and get a working preview in a few minutes.

Before you start: Welcome to Appfully

1. Sign in

Use Continue with Google, or enter your email for a one-time sign-in link. There's no password to remember.

2. Describe what you want

On the home page:

  1. Choose App (phone) or Web App (browser). The line under the switch explains each.
  2. Describe it in the box, or tap one of the starter templates under it to fill it in.
  3. Leave the model on Auto (it uses the lowest-cost model) or choose a stronger one.
  4. Press Create App / Create Web App, or ⌘↵ (Ctrl+Enter on Windows).

Building needs a Pro or Max plan. If you don't have one yet, the plan window opens and your description stays in the box. See Plans and payments.

Tip: a sentence or two about who it's for, the main screens and what data it keeps gets a far better first version than a single word. See Prompting well.

3. Watch it build

You land in the workspace. The chat shows a checklist (reading, planning, writing, starting the preview) with a timer. Most builds take one to two minutes.

You can close the tab while it builds: the build keeps going and is saved, so it's waiting for you when you come back.

4. Try it

  • Apps run on a live phone in the preview panel.
  • Web Apps run in a browser frame; switch between desktop, tablet and phone widths with the buttons above it.

5. Keep going

Type a change in the chat box and send it. Each message produces a complete new version of your project, and the preview reloads with it.

Find it again later

Your projects are under Apps in the sidebar, in Recent projects on the home page, and in search (press ⌘K).
