Images and files
Upload logos, photos, icons and sounds, and have the AI use them in your project.
Upload
In the workspace, press Media next to the model picker, then Upload, or drop files straight onto the prompt box.
Supported: PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF images, MP3/WAV audio, MP4 video, PDF, JSON, CSV and plain text, up to 10 MB each.
Use them
Press Use next to a file to add it to your message, then say what to do:
Use the uploaded file "logo.png" as the logo in the header, 40px tall.
The AI is told the name, type and address of every file in the project, so you can also just refer to it by name ("put team-photo.jpg on the About screen").
- Web Apps can use images, audio, video, PDFs (as links) and read JSON, CSV or text files.
- Apps can use images. Audio and video can't play in Apps yet.
Media from your app's own users
Want people using your Web App to add their own photos, avatars or attachments? Just ask ("let users upload a profile photo", "add a photo gallery users can add to"). Web Apps can pick files from the device and keep them in the browser, with previews. Saving them to a shared server for everyone comes with the upcoming database connection.
Storage
| Plan | Storage for files |
|---|---|
| Pro | 100 MB |
| Max | 500 MB |
The Files panel shows how much you've used. Uploads need a Pro or Max plan.
Good to know
- Files are stored at a public address so your project can load them anywhere: in the preview, in exports and when published. Don't upload anything private.
- Deleting a file breaks any version of the project that still uses it, so ask the AI to replace it first.
- Deleting a project deletes its files too.
