Publishing to Spotlight
Share your project with a live page and a snapshot, and what people can do with it.
Publish
- In the workspace, press Publish.
- Give it a clear name and a one-line description.
- Confirm. Your project is live in the Spotlight.
What people see
- A card with a real snapshot of your project, its name, your username, a short description, its type (App or Web App), the publish date and its likes.
- A project page where they can run it live, like it, comment and Remix it (copy it into their own account to change).
The snapshot
Appfully captures a snapshot automatically when you publish, using a real browser. After you publish new versions, the snapshot refreshes at most every 10 minutes. On your project page you can press Refresh preview to capture it now.
If a snapshot can't be captured, the card says "Preview unavailable" and the live project page still works. Try Refresh preview after your next change.
Unpublish
Open Publish in the workspace and switch it off. The project disappears from Spotlight and its page shows "This project isn't available". Your likes and comments come back if you publish again.
Before you publish
Publishing makes your project and its code viewable and remixable by others. Don't include anything private. See What's public and what's private.
